Eyes of a Blue Dog

Feeling poetic, I look into the distance, softly gazing into the shadows. Becca asks me if there's "something in my eye."

Ignoring her comment, feeling profound, I claim, "Dating is when we wear rose-colored glasses. Marriage is when we get rose-colored lasic."

It gets kind of quiet for about ten seconds. Becca says, "No, marriage is when we take the glasses off." Then she starts laughing. At me.

"Yeah," I manage to say, a weak comeback, if that.

She laughs more. Golden red strands of her hair flicker against the light. I can't help it--I laugh too.

Here's some pic from last weekend. We went on a conoe trip in Luxembourg, really beautiful part of the country.

Love is blind, love is blind, love is blind.
Marriage is a real eye-opener!

MW, Good post. (I've just recently started reading again after a while.) Coming back to the States in about a month?

this has nothing to do with anything, but i was typing in my name in Google for some reason and found an old blog . . . oh the good days . . . look at Thursday, April 21, 2005. How young and naive we were. And I think Matt Lyke just shot off a gun in our apartment . . . . see you in a few

Anna,
Yeah, we'll be back in Jan... we're pretty excited and ready to get back to normal life!

DB,
Yes, so young and innocent. One thing that hasn't changed is your sweet hammer. It was (is) amazing, but not as amazing as the clap-clap show. Matt Lyke is kind of an idiot, so I'm not too surprised. Dawn, whatever happened to that Ryan guy?? I wonder... :)
