All,
This is my newest friend Sean who is a geography major here at Texas State university. As you may have noticed, he does indeed share an uncanny resemblence to the lead actor in Gus Van Sant's film, Elephant. In CRU there are three guys named Sean, so to make things easier each one was assigned a prefix to his name. This particular Sean got "cool" as his prefix, hence the title of the blog.
*Editors Note: "Coolness" is very fickle in nature. If there is one thing we may say with certainty it is that coolness for the sake of coolness is of dubious merit. Furthermore, there are some comments such as "Being cool is really NOT being cool", which only cloud the already murky waters which genuine coolness surely rests beneath. The problem is exacerbated further by things like (pop) culture which is troublesome due to its not only contingent but ephemeral nature. So our struggle becomes trying to tease out what is alledgedly cool and what is truly cool. Sorry for that; it was unnecessary.
The other two Seans did not fare as well, as one was even assigned the prefix "greasy", making him, of course,
Greasy Sean (I do not know this guy). Anyways, Sean enjoys bike riding and launching waterballoons, as well as spending time with his pet chinchilla. For these reasons I think we may unanimously agree Sean has earned his title of being generally "cool". Watch for more people profiles in the near future. Out!

Hot off the press addition: The aforementioned Sean Raybuck has wisely followed my lead (since afterall, I was the FIRST person ever to start an online journal. Ok, maybe not the first, but we can agree I have revolutionized blogging and brought it back to its roots as an Art, which it is!) to create his very own online journal. It seems as though he is no longer content to pay me rent for living in my shadow and is venturing out into the light of online communication. Thanks for the commentary Michael.
Just to clarify a few things, "Cool" is not a title that I earned, it was just given to me because there were a lot of "Sean's" and it was easier to give everyone a subtitle.
Also, I don't really have a pet chinchilla, although i guess that would be cool.. (if I knew what that was).
