Full Circle

Well.

I'm still in El Paso, literally counting the hours until Friday morning. Life has slowed way down. We've been busy out-processing from active duty; paper work, turning stuff in, lots and lots of shots. What a terrible rhyme.

It's a lot of work to become a civilian again, get out of this dusty uniform.

I digress.

So it's just a waiting game. Last January I was in the same place, stuck in the desert waiting to leave for Europe. Now I'm waiting to leave for Cincinnati.

The other night my dad asked me about El Paso. It was difficult to put into words. So I spent the last few days doing a photo-essay on the city: the culture, the night life, the art, the vibrant music scene. It's a city that pulses with life. After countless hours of photography and scouting locations, I present to you, my valued reader, my findings:

After Paris, Budapest, Prague, Brussels, Amsterdam, Vienna (to name a few), it's hard to live in a desert.

On the other hand, none of these travels compare to the feeling of coming home to Cincinnati and my last semester in San Marcos.

Well, if you feel the need to be reminded of Europe you can always stop by the outlet mall and ride the gondola.
