A typical Monday.
Wake up at 4:45am, take PT test. Succeed wildly, too tired to care.
Work by 9am. Scrub in. First case, patient from Iraq with flesh eating virus.
Lunch, Seinfeld DVD, Jerry takes lie detector test. He WAS watching Melrose Place.
Group of photographers swarm me in hall. Act aloof, cool, beyond it all. Happy inside in a way I can't describe.
12pm start on second case. Canadian from Afghanistan, one of the ones from the news. Bad, bad shape. Me and three doctors. Challenging case.
Suicide bomber. 15 year olds, on a bike, strapped with explosive vest, filled with ball bearings. Killed several, wounded about 30 Canadians.
Home around 3:30. Study Spanish, bowl of Lucky Charms, episode of OC with Spanish subtitles on. Ryan's brother is bad news. Muy malo.
Fall asleep. Dreams of developing photos. Hard to leave the dark room.
8:30, wake up. Becca making mac and cheese. Grab laptop. Write blog with choppy sentences. A captains log.
I'm no captain. I'm just hungry. And tired of this war.
Eating lunch in a vineyard, overlooking the Rhein...

Flesh-eating virus? Whoa. How about more detail on the surgeries and less on Seinfeld? Kidding, hope all is well.
Yeah, eating of the flesh. Not pretty. I'm not the one that wants to be a doctor though :)
I think the Seinfeld episode where Kramer and Jerry watch a surgery would be the right move. Two birds, one stone.
Rice Town
The flesh eating virus does sound intense.
even more intense?
The OC
And you can't spit on the dishes, becca is right. That's nasty.
Michael,
You are the man - I don't know how you keep a stable head on yourself with all the stuff you got going on. That's pretty intense! So I got a macbook, and it is awesome. But I mostly just take pictures of myself with its built-in camera.
Taylor Town! You're supposed to back me up! No matter what!
Sean, you're doing the right thing. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
