French Remains

Yet some more travels. This time we visit Loehnecken, a sleepy village 20 miles north.

**

Ah, looks like a castle blown up by the French in the 15th century... Well, that's because it is. As the saying in Germany goes, "Only the French create such beautiful ruins." The area we live in has the highest concentration of castles in all of Germany, and the close proximity to France means lots, and lots, and lots of ruins. But ruins are fun, ask anyone.

And a few pics from the day camp we volunteered at last week. We worked on water skills and did a T-Rescu with the canooes. Becca does it all the time, I come along on my days off for free travel and to hang out with the kids.

Jess,
My heart is sad. But I accept it. I will NEVER forget when Sean got DIS-MISSED and I got, well, not much. Except the honor of buying you a sandwich and a sweet action game of Murder in the Dark. I miss you Taylor Town.

Mom,
Nothing changes. :)
