Hot Fuss

My wife says lots of cute things. Ocassionally she even calls me cute. I like both.

One such oft-used saying of hers is, "My dogs are barking" (you know, when your feet are tired). It's 10pm and I'm just getting back to the hotel. My dogs barked, growled, howled, and now are just whimpering. What a day.

So now it's time to kick off these old boots and watch Brokeback Mountain, maybe even figure out what all the fuss is about. Not that I even understand all the fuss to begin with.

It's good to be home. In a strange way, the pain and tiredness even feels good, a certain amount of pleasure is found in the pain. This was something C.S. Lewis touched on in his apologetics on evil in a world created by an omnibenevolent God.

I used to wonder, now I kind of know.

Brokeback Mountain? More like Gayback Mountain!! Honestly, a few good men and myself wanted to find out what the big fuss was all about. We watched it and to tell you the truth, I found the film a bit interesting. In a good way that is. Anywho, take care buddy. Enjoy the great beer and soccer.

Hey Michael,

I found your site while reading Kelly Merks´ blog last year. I spent a year in San Antonio in 2001. I live in Cologne - not too far away from where you are. You can drop me a line someday if you like.

Take care, Stef!:o)

Makal,
Do you want to go fishing? (Brokeback joke)

Pain is God's megaphone. I feel you on that one. I'm working more than I ever have in my life all at once, and it is tiring and draining, but very rewarding. I work with 3-year olds. Who would have thought. Anyways man, I want to hear some of your stories. I guess not many practical jokes go on in a hospital.

But if you want to hear one me and my roommates have been doing to random people at The Ridge, we have this giant computer box we put one of us in and then knock at somebody's door (usual girls) and then when they come out we jump out of the box. Pretty fun.
