Always the Hours

Chewing gum this morning in Mannheim

Took a day trip today to Kaiserslautern and Mannheim--great traveling but I'm utterly exhausted. Must have walked about ten miles. The dogs are doing their thing. Tomorrow it's a 5:30am start to head out on a Rhine River cruise with my friend Matt (he's from Boston, which is so cool to me for some reason)--we're gonna see some more castles and do some exploring in various cities. I need a vacation from my three day weekend.

Just got done watching The Hours. Wow, wow, wow. So stirring. If you haven't seen it, do yourself a favor and rent it tonight. Between A History of Violene, Brokeback Mountain, Wolf Creek and The Hours, it's been a good couple weeks of movies. Now if I can just get my hands on Spielbergs Munich...

To look life in the face and to know it for what it is. At last, to know it. To love it, for what it is. And then, to put it away. Always the years, always the days, always the hours.
