Picture Time

After the draught comes the flood... And these pictures are only the precipitation. My pics from Trier, where you can see me brooding in Karl Marx's bedroom, are still being developed.

Below you will see my room, which is neslted in a quiet corner of the hotel on Landstuhl. I'm a stones throw from LRMC, the big hospital you see on CNN all the time. We're perched on the top of a small mountain and you can walk into the city in about 15 minutes or so. There are many hiking trails and the town looks like a 3-D postcard.

**

As I was writing the above paragraphs, someone said to me, "Wow. A college degree and you can't type fast." (This is of course wrong on two counts, because I'm still short of my foreign language requirement)

So I challenged them to a typing contest. This old lady is going down. Just ask Rebecca what happens when you think you're the fastest. Once Kari Kennedy thought she could beat me, but she was afraid to challenge me.

Anyways, enjoy the pics... More to come soon!

It looks beautiful there. And your room is nice too. Glad you're getting settled in. Keep up the good work and keep the pictures coming.

hi Michael~

Great photos, really enjoy seeing them. Your pad's not bad! (Pad=hippie term for where you live, not that I'm a hippie, they were slightly before my time) What's in the fridge? It's big! Shopping for groceries in a different country would an interesting thing to do. The village is really picturesque, you weren't kidding! Who's bike?

*hi* to Michaels' mom, you have an awesome son!

Take care! Susan

*if you could talk Daniel into blogging more often I'd be pestering his comment section instead of yours!

Hey michael, seeing those pics makes me want to come visit you in Germany...screw my test on thursday! jk. I was at work today, bored out of my mind and wishing I could text you, and I realized that you would make for a very interesting parent. (I'm surrounded by children all day, I can't help it.)

"Dad, could you help me with my homework?"
"Son, it's not yale. Go practice posing in front of a camera."

SkyReiter,
No one really blogs anymore. I'd say I'm just picking up the slack, but my electronic shrine has been on the daily side since it's vainglorious conception last fall. Wow. That was a little much.

But I'll tell Dan. He's been writing me some pretty clever emails--perhaps I'll post one of those and not tell him. That's kind of like him writing a blog. Kind of not.

Best,
Michael
