Test It Yourself: The SIR and BAGAT Rules

By now it's no secret that mathematics govern and can explain the physical world. What is not so widely known, however, is that Christian social groups, such as C** (or *RU if you like), are subject to the same principles. For example, take the Social Invitation Rule...

SIR Rule:
To find the number of people who will actually show up, simply square the number of people that you personally invited.

For example: Having a killer movie and Catch Phrase party night and wanna know how many to expect? Well, if you personally invited 5 people then you can expect 25 (5 squared=25). Pretty simple, pretty accurate, pretty reliable.

Things get slightly more complictated when dealing with gossip. A sewing circle we are when it comes to failing to keep secrets, revealing crushes, and all things juicy. To find how many people will find out any piece of gossip, small or large, you simply put the number of people you personally told to the third power. This is called the Boys and Girls All Tell Rule...

BAGAT Rule:
For example: Want to tell your three best girlfriends who you've been totally crushing on lately? This means you've just told 27 people (3 to the 3rd=27). Pretty simple, pretty accurate, pretty reliable.

Pretty ridiculous. I don't make the rules people, I just report the findings.

I don't know how you come up with all of this stuff, but this was enjoyable reading. Love, Grandma

Dear Grandma, The numbers don't lie. My imagination is simply the recording of mathematical, immutable laws. Love you too!

Youve never been so right!

It's a little different for me on the SIR rule. When I throw a party, only a third of the people who I personally invite show up.
