He Bought Her a Freakin' Tiara

co

Over the course of the summer, my brothers have been mailing Corrie goodie boxes so that she doesn't have the slightest chance of forgetting how adored she is. Now she'd be able to tell you better than I, but from what I understand the packages are basically stocked with college student essentials: neon green nail polish, fruity stripes gum, candy, and love letters.

The month of July belongs to John. The little Cassanova immedaitely bypassed such trivial, childish gifts and went straight for the heart--HE BOUGHT HER A FREAKIN' TIARA! He is completely sabbotaging all my efforts. I mean, the used copy of Pride and Prejudice and travel size hand sanitizer I sent her pale in comparison to a golden, jewel encrusted crown.

And there's more. Little Johnny boy (oh don't be fooled by his cute nick-name!!) once convinced her to (unknowingly) play the role of Sleeping Beauty and tried to plant one on her unsuspecting lips. He was about two fateful inches from making his love life great (bragging rights and all), her life absurd, and mine ruined. Needless to say, the Walt Disney Cherades game is not played so often at the Rice house too much these days.

So basically, what with the tiara and all, John is just adding insult to injury. And of course the gift giving bar has been raised to a height that I'm not sure I can surmount. A couple days ago I sketched Corrie a picture of myself wearing a tank top and riding a green unicorn while singing "I miss you C!", but somehow I just don't think it's going to be acceptable at this point.

Sean,
What makes you think I didn't spend two hours shading the horses lip? Goooooosh. :)

We've missed you this weekend! Pace Bend park had 70 foot cliffs--it was, in the truest sense, as Reed would say, "sweet action."

AWWE that is so cute! I want a Tiara! I miss my Cor, and Michael, I'm sure your drawing was straight from the heart although I have to give your little brother credit for already knowing what women like. I dont know a girl who would refuse a Tiara!

No kidding A. I think that if it was given to me in the right way, even I'd love getting a tiara! I didn't even know what they were until a few days ago but now I wake up thinking about them. :)

Keep up the good work in Cali!

Corrie - You are even more beautiful than I could even dream of in that tiara. I hope I can see you soon. I love you.
