What's Good is Rice Without Some Meat?

From what I understand, via the supernumerary influx of disillusioned emails, The Daily Rice had a rough day yesterday. I apologize for the inconvenience and am at a loss in regards to what the problem was (Blogger was doing tech work yesterday-could've been that). But please, no more nihilistic emails which speak of abandoning all hope and dwelling on the futility of life without Rice. As Paul Wheatley once mused, "What's Rice without some meat?"

How can one ever rise above the muck?
