Conroe Continued

Spending time up here at Lake Conroe has been awesome so far. Yesterday Corrie came out to visit us and got enough attention from the four Rice boys to last her all summer. John tried admirably all day to kiss her but was unable to land one on the lips, but did successfully sneak one or two in on the neck. Not bad. Not bad at all. He makes his big brother proud.

Today I started reading Wild At Heart, which along with Mere Christianity, is required reading for Christian twenty-somethings. It's been really good so far... The natural companion to it is the slightly more secular Fight Club (yes, it was a book first), in which the demasculization of the West is explored through men beating each other to a pulp. That and spliced frames of a penis flashing on the screen. My favorite thing about both works: they are unapologetic.

I found a hair piece in the bathroom and couldn't resist. Let's hope Dawn doesn't get her hands on this picture (Mom is still recovering from what she did to the other one)...

One word: Finally.
I've been waiting for a very long time. Life, while not complete, is pretty damn close.

Wild at HEart is pretty good so far, but I left it in Conroe so I'll have to hope my aunt will mail it to me.
