I returned last night from my most recent trip to Louisiana, which among other wonderful people such as Myles Werntz and Kari Kennedy is home to my parents and little brothers (and a bunch of odd Kanes chicken lovin’ Cajuns). Home is a sacred place for me; it’s where I go for good food, my own bed, and more hugs and kisses than one could ever ask for. A place where on any given night life swells within the walls, as laughter and my brothers fill the rooms.

But it’s also a place I go to remember. The place where I go to remember what’s important in life. A place to, as it says above the kitchen sink, live, laugh and love. And it’s a place to learn. To learn not by being told, but to learn by watching. To learn what selflessness means, what priorities are, and what happiness does and should result from.

okay so I'm filled with a little sadness knowing that ya'll were in one of the best places in the world and I wasn't there with you! The Lakes by LSU have got to be one fantastic place! And to think you had Canes! As did I as we drove through to Florida. Thanks again for a shout out! Kari
