The first time I saw this picture I was filled with unexplainable rage, and thought it represented all that was wrong with the world. But those feelings are gone now, and honestly, I can't account for that erstwhile resentment.
My soul has merged with the bunny, my heart reconciled with the pancake, and somewhere, in the midst of that compassion, I'm left feeling immense joy. Indeed, this is perhaps the greatest picture to ever grace the pages of the Daily Rice.
I've always had an undestructable suspicion that life is elsewhere, but no longer. Life can be found in the mundane, the ordinary, the commonplace bunny wearing a pancake as a tophat.

How many pancakes are on his head? I think two...
I am going to send you a bunny with a pancake for you to place on his head for your birthday
That sounds like the best gift ever. Except for the pancake part. And the bunny part. Ok, bad gift idea...
