#5 With a Bullet

Today has been one of those random, somewhat schizophrenic Saturdays where you wake up without the slightest idea of how to fill the day and a series or random and chaotic events ensues. Those always are the good ones though...

Van Gogh
*I took this one over Spring Break in DC-yes, I am cool.

The afternoon was pleasant enough, as Corrie and I met to study, which usually means talking about how we never study when we "meet to study". It's a vicious cycle, and the mind reels. Progress was made, however, as we reached a certain degree of finality regarding my new nickname, which is Prince Dubious. It's practically the nicest thing anyone has ever called me. We also went on a wild goose chase around the coffee shop, but that came to an abrupt end when I realized, well, that I'm on a wild goose chase around the coffee shop. All in all, it was just lovely.

Then a run with Dan. The distance of our run took on one of those "fishing story" qualities. Just after the run, we agreed we covered about 4 miles. Just after dinner, and much needed reconsideration, we decided it was closer to 7 miles. As of right now (10:57pm), we crossed the Texas-Louisiana border just after sunset. I imagine, with enough time, we'll be able to tell you what jogging through the Yukon territory was like.

As for now, I'm having yet another Saturday night of scintillating "Girls Night In" fun! I baked a funfetti cake for the girls (Bri, Corrie, Amanda, Sally, Kristine, Dan) and we are watching High Fidelity. We've reached the unanimous conclusion that John Cusack is a little slice of heaven. It's great... snuggled together on the couch comparing Tom Cruise and Jude Law... what more could a, ahem, guy ask for??!!

High Fidelity

Classic line of High Fidelity:
Do I listen to pop music because I'm miserable or am I miserable because I listen to pop music?

I think I'm done. But then again, on posts such as this one, I was done before I even started.
